The Charge Station Quad has been shipped for Nintendo Wii by Nyko Technologies. Nintendo has to select retailers nationwide. The company’s new Charge Station Quad offers a new way to charge all four Wii Remotes at the same time. It also provides a rubber battery cover for better grip.
In addition to this, the Wired Wing and the Wired Kama which was announced to be on display at CES 2009, will be coming to stores early as Control Pak. This has been confirmed by Nyko Technologies. This package will have all wired versions of the Wing and Kama controllers for use of Wii owners. The Wing controller is classic in style and provides better grip and is good for playing nostalgic games on the Virtual console while the Kama has a wider body and a rubber battery cover for grip. Both these are available only with Control Pak.
Sega USA has re-registered ChuChu Rocket on December 22, 2008. This looks as if Sega is secretly working on reviving ChuChu rocket as an online enabled XBox live Arcade game.
This year lots of Dreamcast titles have been registered with Sega like Sonic Shuffle, Cosmic Smash, Jet Grind Radio and Virtual-On Oratorio Tan gram. In protecting so many game names, Sega has to spend a decent amount of money as registering trademarks costs quite a lot of money. The previous trademark of ChuChu Rocket has not even expired. It is a bit confusing why Sega is spending so much of money to protect such names. It seems as if Sega will pull Nintendo with a “New Play Control” series.
