It turns out that Amazon is doing their Customer Vote promotion again this year. They did it yesterday and gave away gaming consoles like the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 for deepy discounted prices. For example, this year 1000 Wiis will be sold for $79 which is a great price when it is going for $340+ on eBay.

However, don't count on it because tens of thousands of people will be in the drawing for it and it will be slim pickings. The contest will be done differently this year. You will need to vote for your favorite product and then come back a week later.

Last year, Amazon did this on a first come first serve basis and it completely  crashed their system. I think they've learned from that lesson.
