Underworld has definitely been an eagerly anticipated title by fans across the world. The game promised to bring a revamped Lara Croft, which could do a lot of new amazing things, taking advantage of the power of the next generation consoles. The game managed some pretty good sales, and it was the first one in the series to be launched on a Nintendo platform, appearing on the Wii and on the DS handheld console. But this debut wasn't without problems, as quite a few users complained that in a level set in Thailand, the game didn't spawn a lever, which was imperative so that Lara could continue her adventure. This game-stopping glitch angered a lot of gamers, who demanded that Eidos would come up with a patch or a fix in order to repair the problem.

Now the company has issued a press release in which it says that it is terribly sorry about the major glitch, but that it can't really do anything other than to ask users to try resorting to an earlier save. As an alternative solution, it has offered some savegame files on its website which can be placed on an SD card and introduced in the Wii. Although this isn't quite what users expected, the company can't really do anything else.
